About us
Welcome to Olive Branch Farmstead. A place where people and hard work are valued, where we believe food is a basic right, no one should have a limited access to and God is the center of it all. We are the Parakh family (Suzanne, Zubin & Olivia) and God has placed a mission on our hearts for people.

In the Fall of 2025, many people lost access to basic food through government programs during the shutdown. I myself have known food insecurity and relied on these programs while in college. It allowed me to go to school full time and work part time. Now as a teacher, I see it all the time in my classroom and student families. As a result, I usually keep food in my classroom for those students and donate baskets of food for the holidays, when they are out of school for an extended period of time. At this time, I began to ask how I could help and give back, where I once received.

This is how the idea of Olive Branch Farmstead was born. I really wanted to find a way that I could impact my community and provide access to basic needs. A lot of this was also rooted in my faith and the belief that we as a community are responsible for one another. Jesus set the example so that I could follow and be the example for others. I believe that everyone should have access to food, shelter and all basic needs, all the time. Matthew 25:35

Currently, we are praying that God will lead us to a farm to further our mission and feed more, but while we are in the waiting we are ROOTED where we are. What does that mean? While we are waiting for God to move big, we are beginning to make small moves until the big things he has in store for us TAKE ROOT by turning the backyard into a garden to grow what we can, where we can. I will be canning and providing shelf stable goods to my Church pantry and I n the meantime, I am also working on a Cottage Food Farmstand to sell sourdough and baked goods, to fund the cost garden. I will also donate sourdough, based on sales to my church food pantry.

Our dream is to have 10 acres to grow and raise food, not only for our family but entire community’s needs, open a faith based homeschool program and to raise animals. God has given the vision to us and Habakkuk 2:2 shows us that “where there is vision, there is provision.” We believe God will fulfill our vision so that we can provide to others.

If you support feeding people and giving access to fresh produce, have helpful knowledge or equipment and would like to help, let us know!

If you do not have a home church, are visiting or just want to check out a new Church, come visit us at Sozo Church, off Leestown Road in Midway, KY. Service starts at 10:30 and we would love to have you.
